New Moon in Gemini Relationship Tarot Spread

By: VICTORIA WILSON on MAY 25, 2017

The New Moon in Gemini is usually a light-hearted affair, as Gemini likes to party, meet new people, and have fun. However, tomorrow’s New Moon in Gemini coincides with a rather harsh Venus in Aries squaring Pluto in Capricorn, dredging up painful emotions that we have been holding down within the bowels of our subconscious selves.

We’ve all been heartbroken by people we love. It’s easy to blame our partners when things go wrong, but Gemini reminds us that everyone we bring into our lives are mirror reflections of ourselves. It takes two people to co-create a beautiful relationship. And it takes two people to make things go awry.

Venus brings people together in love and pushes her feel good vibes out into the world. Pluto puts you face to face with your deepest ego wounds and says “deal with it.” When these two planets bring out the worst out in one another, their combined energy compels us to examine the shadow side of attraction and love.

This New Moon in Gemini is all about setting intentions to better understand the underlying dynamics of your closest relationships. Think of a relationship – past or present. Then, grab your Tarot cards and dive deep into its undercurrents with this New Moon in Gemini relationship spread.

Weekend Tarot Reading for April 14-16, 2017

By: VICTORIA WILSON on APRIL 14, 2017

Sun and Moon Tarot

4/14 Sun conjunct Uranus (in Aries)

4/15 Venus goes direct

4/16 Venus (in Pisces) sextile Mars (in Taurus)

TEN OF SWORDS, THE EMPEROR & NINE OF CUPS

THE EMPEROR draws our attention to what is currently going on in the sign of Aries, and that is the Sun Uranus conjunction heightening the potential for surprising events that seem to come out of nowhere. Stay safe out there! Aries is the sign of leadership, ego, and conflict. Uranus in Aries sets us up for unpredictable violence that effects large groups of people. I’ll just note the current state of global politics – in the past two weeks we have seen Syrians gassed to death, bombs dropped on Syria and Afghanistan, and warships sent to North Korea. These acts of military aggression could very well escalate global conflict.

As a card about rulership, THE EMPEROR draws attention to the actions of our government leaders. I don’t know what you’re up to this weekend, but I’ll be in downtown L.A. with a bunch of other people to protest 45’s failure to release his tax returns. There are so many opportunities to become active participants in government and politics. Remember that our leaders reflect who we are as a people. If you don’t like what’s happening in the world, the onus is on you to do something about it.

The TEN OF SWORDS signals a painful ending, but the NINE OF CUPS suggests that this ending will yield a positive change. Resistance to that which we do not like teaches us how to come into our individual power and be the change we want to see.

Lastly Venus goes direct on Saturday, and is sextile Mars on Sunday. This energy stirs the passions and makes us want to invest our energy in something that really gets us going. This is a good time to start a new relationship and enjoy the company of like-minded folks. Do what you love to do, and maybe you’ll meet someone special in the process.

Interpreting Daily Tarot Cards Using Astrology

By: VICTORIA WILSON on MARCH 23, 2017

Alchemical Tarot

When your daily Tarot card doesn’t make any sense at the end of the day, check your Astrological transits. Something you see there may clarify what your card is trying to say.

I tell all of my Tarot students to pull a card for themselves in the morning to get a sense of what the day’s energy will look like. When the day is done, you can come back to your card to reflect on what happened. Sometimes the connection is overwhelmingly obvious, but there are other times when it’s not, and we’re left scratching our heads at what the card is trying to highlight.

This morning I pulled the KING OF SWORDS for myself. Then a few minutes later, I checked my horoscope to discover that the Sun is conjunct my natal Mercury today. The KING OF SWORDS is a master of logic, speech, and judgment. Mercury is the planet of communication. At that moment it made complete sense that the King of Swords is saying that I’ll enjoy a day of clear thinking with a mind that is sharp and alert. Better get cracking on some writing!

Head on over to Astro.com to check your Astrological transits. If you click on the “Personal Daily Horoscope” option, it will select a single transit and interpret it for you, gratis. It’s a wonderful learning tool for Astrology students like me.
