New Moon in Gemini Relationship Tarot Spread

By: VICTORIA WILSON on MAY 25, 2017

The New Moon in Gemini is usually a light-hearted affair, as Gemini likes to party, meet new people, and have fun. However, tomorrow’s New Moon in Gemini coincides with a rather harsh Venus in Aries squaring Pluto in Capricorn, dredging up painful emotions that we have been holding down within the bowels of our subconscious selves.

We’ve all been heartbroken by people we love. It’s easy to blame our partners when things go wrong, but Gemini reminds us that everyone we bring into our lives are mirror reflections of ourselves. It takes two people to co-create a beautiful relationship. And it takes two people to make things go awry.

Venus brings people together in love and pushes her feel good vibes out into the world. Pluto puts you face to face with your deepest ego wounds and says “deal with it.” When these two planets bring out the worst out in one another, their combined energy compels us to examine the shadow side of attraction and love.

This New Moon in Gemini is all about setting intentions to better understand the underlying dynamics of your closest relationships. Think of a relationship – past or present. Then, grab your Tarot cards and dive deep into its undercurrents with this New Moon in Gemini relationship spread.

Not All Tarot Cards are Equally Important

By: VICTORIA WILSON on MAY 24, 2017

Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot

Not all cards are equally important. It’s ok to focus more on certain cards if that is what your intuition tells you to do.

When I first started doing Tarot readings for others, I felt a lot of internal pressure to pay equal attention to all of the cards in the spread. In my mind, if I had a lot to say about one card, then I should have just as much to say about the other cards as well.

While I like the idea of being systematic and balanced in everything I do, this approach often left me feeling stuck. I struggled to come up with more things to say about cards that, for whatever reason, did not resonate with me as much.

As I grew in my reading practice, I began to realize that some cards just have more to say than others, and that’s okay.  It doesn’t affect the accuracy of the reading.

For example, I just pulled this Horoscope Spread to check-in with myself. Each card represents the energy I currently bring to twelves areas of my life, as represented by the twelve astrological houses.

The KING OF CUPS , TEN OF WANDS, and THE SUN immediately called out to me because they reference some heavy feelings that I am processing, namely by doing whatever I can to push positive energy out into the world. This has been at the forefront of my mind over the past few weeks. So, I spent some extra time with them.

The TWO OF PENTACLES and FIVE OF PENTACLES took on less importance. These cards don’t have much to say to me, probably because I am consciously not making an effort to meet new people that I could potentially partner-up with.

How do you know which cards are the most important ones to pay attention to? This is where your intuition comes in. There will be times when you read on a single area of your life and certain cards stand out to you more than others. Don’t question why that is, simply run with it and read as you feel. If you have to “force” information out of a card, that’s a sign that its time to move on.

Weekend Reading for May 12-15, 2017

By: VICTORIA WILSON on MAY 12, 2017

Hanson Roberts Tarot

Mars in Gemini trine Jupiter in Libra

SIX OF PENTACLES, THREE OF PENTACLES & THE HANGED MAN

With Mars trine Jupiter our efforts yield good things that bring blessings and opportunities for expansion. And the cards suggest that we can maximize those opportunities by practicing generosity. What do you need? What can you give?

Opportunities – SIX OF PENTACLES

Because the human ego is concerned with self-preservation, we feel a need to stockpile things like money, clothes, cards, and even food. And when we accumulate more than we can use, we call ourselves “rich.” But is it really necessary to have so many things? Animals generally don’t collect like we do, and they manage to survive just fine. The Six of Pentacles reminds us that stuff is meant to be used, and there is only so much stuff that we can use at once. Figure out what you really “need,” and re-home everything else. A little generosity goes a long way.

Warning – THREE OF PENTACLES

A man is hard at work with his back turned towards the people in the Six of Pentacles. He’s getting things done, but he’s oblivious to the idea of giving and receiving. Think about how much more he could get done if he accepted some help. No man is an island. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that you can handle everything on your own. When you step up to help someone today, tomorrow someone else will do the same for you.

Advice – THE HANGED MAN

The Hanged Man’s strength is his ability to see the world as no one else does. Viewing it from his 180 degree angle, he sees what others don’t. It may seem like a waste to give away things that you have worked so hard to earn. But isn’t it also a waste when something never sees the light of day because it’s been sitting in the back of your closet for the past five years? Reconsider your relationship to the material world, viewing it from the perspective of someone who has nothing.

Weekend Tarot Reading for May 5-7, 2017

By: VICTORIA WILSON on MAY 5, 2017

Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot

THE MOON, SIX OF PENTACLES & NINE OF CUPS

The prevalence of yin energy in this weekend’s cards suggest that we are taking things off our plates to slow down and relax. The focus is on what is happening within. It’s a good weekend to stay in rather than engage the outside world.

Opportunities – THE MOON

A jackal and a dog howl at the full moon. One is a wild animal and the other is domesticated, but they both react the same way. Two towers loom in the background, reminding us that the personas we don in civilized society are social constructions. What lies beneath are emotions that are raw, animalistic, and sometimes frightening. But they are real. Until we we see them for what they are we move through life with little understanding of who we are and why certain things happen to us. This weekend brings an opportunity to peer behind the veil and dive deep into the waters of our subconscious minds.Take some time for meditation or ritual, make a date with your therapist, or perhaps pull some cards for yourself.

Warning – SIX OF PENTACLES

Adjacent to The Moon, the Six of Pentacles reminds us that who and what we attract is a mirror reflection of our inner resonance. Everyone in this card is in a mutually beneficial relationship – the people in need are drawn to the wealthy man because he gives them material sustenance, and the wealthy man is drawn to the opportunity to give. Everything to which we are drawn reflects a subconscious need within us. If there are patterns that don’t please you or take you away from your goals ask yourself, “What is it within me that co-creates these situations?”

Advice – NINE OF CUPS

Internal energy shifts when we make a conscious effort to be grateful for what we have. Take a minute to note your accomplishments over the past week and give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done. When we focus on the positives, the negatives become easier to deal with.
